When the alarm sounds, most of us head for the door. They head for the truck. FIRST RESPONDERS is where Allergic to Boring Dayz honors the people whose workday can change in a heartbeat, and it starts with a design called Blaze, made to celebrate firemen and firewomen everywhere.
Inside the flame
Blaze shows a firefighter in silhouette, helmet on, coat heavy, bent forward and pushing through a wall of fire. The flames curl up around the figure in layers of gold, orange and ember red, burning brightest at the center and fading into smoke at the edges. That glow is what makes the design work: the firefighter stands out sharp and dark right in the hottest part of the picture, steady and determined, exactly where everyone else would never dare to stand. It is strength without a single word of explanation.
Words the color of heat
Around the flame, the brand name climbs in tall letters that shift from sunny yellow at the bottom to deep red at the top, as if the fire colored them on the way up. Allergic runs up one side, boring dayz down the other, framing the hero in the middle like a salute. On a black ground, the whole piece glows like the lights of an engine rolling out on a night call. It is loud because the job is loud, and it wears its pride right out front where the whole block can see it.
For the one who answers the call
This is for the firefighter who works the holidays and still shows up to the family barbecue smiling. The volunteer who keeps a radio on the nightstand and boots by the door. The spouse who can hear the station tones through the phone and knows what they mean. The grown kid who watched Mom or Dad head out in turnout gear and never once stopped being proud. Give it at a promotion, a retirement, an academy graduation, or on a plain Tuesday for no reason at all. You will see it in their eyes the moment they unwrap it. And save them a plate of station chili, because the shift always runs long.
