Some people check the surf report and go back to bed. She checks it and grabs her board. Amped Surfing Fun is the Allergic to Boring Dayz collection for the girl who paddles out while everyone else is still talking about it, and it is built around one glowing piece of surf art that looks like the last ride of a perfect day.
Deep in the curl
The Surfer Girl design puts her exactly where she wants to be. She is a dark silhouette crouched low on her board, knees bent, arms out, reading the water, tucked right inside a wave that is folding over her head. Behind her a pale sun sits low on the horizon, lighting the whole barrel from the inside. The wave spins around her in streaks of electric green, ocean blue and violet, so bright it looks like the sea decided to throw her a party. You can almost hear the roar.
Lettering that rides along
Over the top of the oval, allergic to boring dayz arcs in bold purple letters, playful and round, like it was painted on the side of a surf shack. Right in the middle sits a little spiral sun rising off a curl of water, a tiny logo that says sunrise session. The deep black background makes every color glow, so the purples pop and the greens look lit from within. It reads like a poster from the best summer of your life, the one you still tell stories about.
For the girl who lives for the next set
This is for the one who has sand in her car in every season. The one who plans vacations around swell charts, knows the tide times better than her own phone number, and comes home salty, sunburned and grinning. It is for the friend who talked you into your first lesson and cheered louder than the instructor when you finally stood up. It is for the surf mom who drives the carpool to the beach at dawn and sneaks in a few waves of her own. And if she has never stood on a board but still stops to watch every surfer at the beach, it is for her too, because the dream counts. Picture her face when she sees that purple wave. That is SO her. Wax up, paddle out, and save her the best one of the evening.
